*9-10-22- Retired from breeding! This website will be maintained for my Atlas Families, and of course my Health Guarantee is still applicable to all of my past pups. I have shifted into other passion projects, and am excited to retire my girls. They’re done being mamas and can now just relax and enjoy their time following me around on my projects!
An Overview
We accept applications throughout the year and anticipate two-three litters within a year. When applications are received, we begin discussions to accept or deny your application.
If accepted, you then are added to our waitlist at which time our Waitlist Fee of $50 is due. You can read more about this fee below.
Once you’ve joined our waitlist, we keep you informed with “Atlas Updates” about our girls, current litters, and upcoming events. “Atlas Updates” are sent out via email, so please ensure you give us your preferred email address.
We only require deposits when one of our females are confirmed to be pregnant. Deposits ($500) are also only required by the first five families on the waitlist (more about this below).
Once puppies are born, families choose their puppy in the order they appear on the waitlist OR can “pass” their pick to the next family in line should no puppy fill their requirements. If a family opts to pass their choice to the next family, the first family is still in line for the next litter.
For the 8 weeks while puppies are raised in our home, families must pay their balances, and deliveries/meet-ups are scheduled.
Once puppies are 8 weeks old, they go home! Balances must be paid before any puppy leaves our home!
Once a litter leaves, this opens up “x” number of spaces on our waitlist. The number of puppies in a litter = the number of spaces now available. If 7 puppies go home, that means we have 7 more spaces on our waitlist.
Pricing
All Puppies = $2,200 regardless of sex or color
This price reflects our high genetic standards as well as the time and effort we put into raising our mothers and pups. Raising happy adult dogs is a moderate but daily task, while raising a litter of puppies is a concentrated 2-month sprint! Additionally, we offer a two year health guarantee for all puppies, and communicate before and after a family receives their puppy. Below is a breakdown of our pricing.
Why this price for a Cockapoo?
It is a fair question, and one Cockapoo breeders (dog breeders in general) are all too familiar with. When searching for your puppy, you’ll come across a variety of puppies at a variety of prices. As a career, dog breeding is incredibly rewarding, but also requires a lot of sacrifices that some traditional dog owners may not have considered:
It is a 24/7 job when litters are born, housing/zoning restrictions and space limitations for dog breeders, daily expenses of sires & dams (dog moms and dads), the upfront expense of purchasing purebred/hybrid sires and dams, the cost of health testing (over $1,000 for basic testing), difficulty in maintaining another career due to daily care of one’s dogs, etc. I’m fortunate to have a very flexible and understanding full-time job outside of Cockapoo breeding that provides a steady income while I build my Atlas business.
Aside from the expenses of operating as a dog breeder, our price also reflects the quality of our dogs. Sporting Champion bloodlines from their purebred lineages, outstanding health testing, daily socialization, training, and exercise regiments, my girls temperaments and overall health greatly surpass dogs kept in kennels with little interactions outside of their farm. Although champion bloodlines may not be an important selling point for all customers, it does display the certified breed-standard of their purebred Cocker Spaniel and Poodle lineages.
Cockapoos life span is roughly 14-16 years

My Breeding Methods
Currently I work part-time as a breeder, with Kona and Max as my only two breeding females. Therefore, I am classified as a Hobby Breeder until my business grows to a full time career. Litters are available twice a year, as both Max and Kona tend to cycle together. Please feel free to fill out an application to be added to our waiting list!
Operating as a small, in-home Cockapoo breeder has afforded me the opportunity to focus on the health of my dogs and the steady growth of my business. Often times, it takes multiple breeding females to support the average dog-breeding family. Personally, I plan to steadily grow my business: gradually adding new Cockapoo members to my home in a comfortable manner, with no more than potentially 4 females and one male at a given time. Managing a bed & breakfast on the side provides a second income and also allows for Atlas families to stay nearby if need be. The slow building of my business will ensure that my Cockapoos always receive ample socializing, car rides, hiking trips, and camping trips. Furthermore, given the quality genetics of both Max and Kona, I would ideally keep one female from each of their later litters (year 6 or so). This will afford me as a breeder to control the quality of my litter’s genetics, but also allow me to raise yet another generation of my four legged family!
Waitlist Fee
(not an application fee)
As of September 2020, we have instituted a $50 nonrefundable fee to join our waitlist. This $50 fee is deducted from the total cost of your puppy should you follow through with an adoption. Only the first five families on our waitlist are required to pay our $500 deposit when litters are born. Once puppies are born, families then pay their remaining balance with the $50 waitlist fee and the $500 deposit taken into account.
When you apply, this begins an email discussion with Jake who will accept or deny your application. If accepted, you must pay $50 to join the waitlist (paid electronically via venmo or cashapp).
This fee is meant to deter those that join our waitlist only to get cold feet and “ghost” us months later. It also is meant to deter those that apply to multiple breeders/litters at once in the hopes of increasing the likelihood of choosing a puppy they like the most.
We regularly email our families Atlas Updates, which is wasted on those that never respond and need to be removed. Additionally, we receive applications daily and must turn away great candidates because our waitlist is full. Therefore, it is especially frustrating to cut 2-3 families from our waitlist that simply never respond.
So, what’s the next step?
Application: Fill out the Cockapoo Puppy Application . This form allows us to have an insight into the homes that we are placing our pups with. We are non-discriminatory on the basis of race, sex, marital status, religion etc. Our only hope is that the home is a safe & nurturing environment for our puppies to grow in. Basic information includes family size, housing size/yard accessibility, other dogs present in the home, etc.
Waiting List: Once an application is submitted, we will process it and contact the family. Once a family meets our requirements, we will place the family on our waiting list in the order in which they applied. At this time, a $50 waitlist fee is required. This fee is applied to the overall cost of your puppy should you follow through with adoption.
Some families have a preference of male v. female cockapoos, as well as color. These are all taken into consideration when placing our puppies. For example, if a family would like a male black & white parti cockapoo, but the litters consistently have puppies of other colors or sexes, that family is allowed to wait as long as they would like. They also have the option of changing their minds and selecting another color or sex. The goal is to give you the Cockapoo that you’d like, but Mother Nature and genetics don’t always play into our hands.
Pregnancy: Once pregnancy is confirmed, we will reach out to the first five families on the waitlist to accept deposits. If more than 5 puppies are born, we wait until after the first week to open them up for deposits from families. This gives us some wiggle room should some puppies not make it past the first week (and avoids giving the hopes up of that 6th or 7th family)
Litter is born: We’ll wait 1 - 2 weeks after birth to ensure all puppies are healthy and safe before announcing any “additional puppies” that are available. Meaning if more than five pups are born, and five families have made their deposits, there will now be room for the following families on the list to make a deposit. It is at this time that we will release photos of the puppies. Families on the waiting list will be notified when a litter is born.
Choosing your puppy: Beginning as soon as 3 weeks old, families may begin to choose their puppies. Families will choose their puppy in the order in which the waiting-list has formed. These choices will be made remotely as our mothers deserve rest with their pups, and our pups require a stable, sanitary environment until they are ready to go home (8 weeks). First pick goes to the first family on the list, second pick to the second family, and so forth. When litters are born, we will begin contacting families. If the first family on the list immediately knows which puppy they would like based on color, sex, or other requests, we can accept their selection earlier than week 5. From there, we will continue down the list. Will will accept puppy-selections earlier than 5 weeks, but not later; all families deserve to select their puppy and begin planning ahead of time!

The Wait: After the families have chosen their puppies, they will get updates on the puppy’s grown and development, along with photos. This may seem like a very long time when you are actively waiting, but it is a great time to focus on puppy-proofing your home and setting up future vet visits. Try to be more excited than anxious; I have built this website with tools I find helpful to raising puppies so please utilize it!
During this time, we flood our social media with images and videos of the puppies. This gives families the opportunity to see them play and grow on a regular basis. Families are welcome to email at anytime, but we also send out “Atlas Updates” to all of the families on our waitlist.
We acclimate our puppies to the sights and sounds of an everyday household as well as minor grooming proccessess like bathing, brushing, ear cleaning, and nail trimming. For more on our puppy-experience, follow us on social media!
Additionally during this time, balances are to be paid by all families. Balances must be paid before the puppy is taken home or delivery is arrange!! We accept payments via cashier’s check, cash, secure mobile cash apps, paypal, etc.
Adoption Day: Everyone’s favorite day! You get to take home your newest family member! At 8 weeks old, the puppies will be ready for their new homes. Dates will generally be set on the weekends for pick-up day, but weekdays are available upon appointment (please email us!). Each family will be sent home with a goodie bag of toys, a collar, leash, dog food, a blanket and more.
Boarding Fees: If a family is unable to make it for pick-up day or schedule a deliver, we offer daily boarding and training for $25/day. You must imagine that with all of it’s litter-mates gone, we cannot simply place that puppy back in the same playpen it has been raised in, as it would be all alone. So now this puppy is glued to our hips, or that of its mother (who is now beyond nursing and is biologically predisposed to be a little aggravated with puppy).
Boarding requires a little extra creativity and adaptation to one’s daily life, along with food and expenses. Even as a dog breeder, we do not have litters occupying our home for more than 4-5 months out of the year. Therefore, our adult dogs are accustomed to their routine and full roam of the home for the other 8 months that they are not rearing pups. With an 8 week old pup and 3 adult dogs, it takes a watchful eye and lots of hands on time with that puppy. We love what we do, and adore the extra one-on-one time we get with a puppy past 8 weeks, but we do hope you understand the additional charge for the added effort.
